Miyako Hibachi Sushi & Steak House

First off, I'd like to state that this rating is in comparison to other Mom & Pop establishments and not Michelin star places. That'd be unfair to both parties involved. With that said, I really enjoyed myself here. The staff were very attentive and expeditious! I received my order probably about 5 minutes after I ordered. Granted it was earlier in the day and not many patrons but I still believe they deserve the recognition for it. There were plenty of seating available even for a large party if you have one. The establishment was clean on the outside and inside. In addition, the bathroom was really clean and tidy as well. I ordered Sashimi that came with 6 other rolls and gyoza shrimp. The shrimp were so hot I actually had to let them sit a while before eating, which is great for me compared to cold or lukewarm. The Sashimi and sushi were extremely fresh! You can see a pick of the chef area where they prepared it. The food was plated exceptionally well and was a pleasantly unexpected surprise. This was a great experience!!! And the efficiency of the staff allowed me to eat my lunch and get back to work on time. I highly recommend it and would visit again.

We don't get hibachi very often and this is where we go. Its an hour from our home. We were quickly seated. There were only two others at the table and Japanese grills will often make you wait until the table is full or close to it, but they did not. The cooking performance is pretty standard and he did fine. The food was excellent. I "upgraded" to fried rice without really knowing what I was doing (because I have a hard time understanding anything besides clear English) but I was glad I did. I never eat much of the rice, but I found this delicious and ate a bunch. I had filet mignon and shrimp, and my wife had chicken and shrimp. I'm not big on vegetables, but this is definitely an exception! I loved the steak but ran out of room. Next time I'm going to skip the shrimp. It's not a cheap meal, and we save it for special occasions, and it is really worth it. I tipped extra because the cook had to perform for an almost empty table, and I was happy to do it.

Tried take out sushi. Love the insulated take out bag! Spring rolls were flavorful and crispy. With two sushi rolls there should have been more wasabi. I think shrimp rolls would have been better in the restaurant as they would be warmer.
